TELELY

Privacy Policy

Effective September 18, 2026

Telely is built so your number stays yours. This Privacy Policy explains what Telely collects, how SMS and calls are handled, and what we do not take.

We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

1. Who this covers

This applies to the Telely app, telely.app, and the Telely service operated by Austin Halper doing business as Telely. If you continue with Google or Apple, those companies also process your sign-in under their own policies. Live calls and texts are connected through Twilio, which processes telephone traffic under Twilio’s policies in order to deliver the service you asked for.

2. What we collect

When you create an account we store your name, email, a hash of your password if you chose one (not the password itself), a Telely number assigned to you, and the time the account was created. If you continue with Google or Apple we store the provider’s user id and the name and email they share. If you add a personal phone number so Telely can reach you, we store that number. The app also stores local product state on the device: trusted people, contacts you add, coverage, schedules, relays, and call/text history.

3. SMS and text messages

Telely may send and forward SMS related to your Telely number: coverage, handoff, and messages people send to that number. You opt in in the Telely app when you get a Telely number and turn on texts. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of Telely SMS. Reply HELP for help. We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Calls

When someone calls your Telely number, Telely uses your routing settings to ring the person or number you chose, including coverage and relays. We do not use live call audio to train models, and we do not sell call records. Caller ID follows the rules you set in Telely. We do not present a Telely routing number as someone else’s identity, and we do not let you type an arbitrary number as Caller ID.

5. What we do not collect

We do not take your private mobile number unless you add it yourself. We do not copy your whole address book. We do not run ads in Telely. Google and Apple see that you signed in to Telely; we do not receive your Google or Apple password.

6. Sharing

We share information only to run Telely: with Twilio to place, receive, and forward calls and texts you asked for, and with Google or Apple for sign-in you chose. We do not share Telely account data with advertisers. We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

7. Retention and sign-out

Accounts stay until they are deleted. Signing out removes the session from that phone. Clearing the app’s storage on your phone removes local Telely data on that device.

8. Children

Telely is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Security

Passwords are hashed. Session tokens are signed and expire. Carrier secrets stay on the Telely server, never in the app. Choose a unique password.

10. Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date on this page. Privacy questions: use the email on your Telely account.
